I've also watched some of the anime episodes, and was a great anime. However, there are series that are older than Ultra Maniac but have better animation. Maburaho is a huge contrast to Ultra Maniac, where pretty much everyone in the anime can use magic (except for the main character, who's kind of a failure with his ability... but he can still use magic a VERY limited amount of times). Not put very elogantly, but to sum this series up, it was pretty lame. The Ultra Maniac anime series has Nina, a witch from the Magic Kingdom who is searching for The Holy Stones, where in Sugar2 Rune the girls are taking hearts from people, both series involve witches who are sent to Earth for a purpose of collection basically, whether it is … Maburaho is without a doubt geared for a male audience - … Animation: This is an older series so the animation is not expected to be too good. I wasn't a noob to the anime industry, though. For comparision, it looks like Tokyo Mew Mew. Nina meets Ayu, a girl with a reputation for being 'calm and cool' after Ayu helps her find a missing mini PC that aids her in using magic. The character development was great, and my favorite character so far has to be Nina. The romance and the magical girl was lackluster.
